Ocean Views is a comfortable and modern four bedroom house with two bathrooms that provides quality self-catering accommodation for up to eight people. It has excellent views overlooking Chesil Beach and the magnificent sunsets over the Dartmoor hills. The house is centrally heated throughout, with thermostatic valves on each radiator, to control the temperature in every room. All the bedrooms have wardrobes, five drawer chest of drawers, and full length dress mirrors. On the ground floor on the right hand side as you walk through the front door is Bedroom 1, which is a spacious twin-bedded room. This room is at the front of the house with one bay window at the front of the room and one window on the side. Bedroom 2 is a double room on the left hand side as you walk in through the front door. It is a light and airy double bedroom. This room leads to the Utility room and the ground floor bathroom. The bathroom on the ground floor has shower/ bath with a modern shower unit and mixer taps, toilet and hand basin. Finally, on the ground floor there is the utility room, where you will find a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Outside, in the pebbled court yard there is a clothes line and a lockable shed to store and dry your wet weather / diving gear. You can also rinse down all your equipment using the outside tap and hose prior to storing overnight. The first floor of the house is the main living area. At the front of the house is the living room, which has 2 large comfortable sofas and easy chairs. There is a gas log fire to keep you extra cosy on the those chilly winter nights. The room has a TV, Freeview Box, DVD and a CD/Radio player. There is a kitchen and dining room where all the windows have excellent views over the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped for up to 10 people and includes most things to allow you to cook whatever you like and also has a dishwasher, 2 fridges and a freezer. If you prefer, the visitors guide book lists local takeaways and restaurants. The bathroom on the first floor is clean and modern with white tiled walls. It features a full size shower bath with a modern shower head and mixer taps, toilet and hand basin. Bedroom 3 is a double room on the top floor of the house with fantastic views from the windows at the front and side of the house overlooking Chesil Beach. Bedroom 4 is a twin-bedded room also on the top floor and again with views overlooking the beach. It is through this room that you can reach the terrace. On the terrace you can enjoy an unparalleled view of the beach stretching off for 16 miles. You can relax here with your pre-dinner drinks, watching the sun set over the Dartmoor hills. We are happy to accept bookings for a week at a time. We also accept short-term breaks, especially during the quieter months of the year, and at short notice during the summer (but generally no more than four to six weeks in advance).
